Blues From Zone “A” is a fundraising effort to raise money for some of the families from Kerry Kearney's hometown of Breezy Point whose homes were seriously damaged or destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. Donations will assist these families in purchasing materials to rebuild their homes and their lives. All donations will go directly to these families.
We recently held a benefit at the Sunset Grill in Seaford, NY where we raised $4,000 in four hours! This is a great start and many thanks go to those who contributed. But more is still needed. We will continue to raise money for these families until further notice.

Proceeds from the Blues From Zone A CD will directly benefit some of the families in
Breezy Point who have experienced utter devastation and have been displaced as a result of their homes being uninhabitable. Money will be given directly to them so they can purchase vital materials to rebuild their homes. Many of the homes in Breezy Point that were not destroyed by fire were severely damaged by wind and storm surge waters. As a result the contents of these homes and personal belongings, with all of the memories, had to be thrown out. Walls and floors have to be stripped down to the frame, electrical panels and furnaces and hot water heaters need to be replaced. Appliances and fixtures have to be replaced. Bathrooms and kitchens have to be ripped out and rebuilt. This is a considerable expense that is not fully covered by other means. Your support is greatly appreciated in helping these families to rebuild their homes and return to a certain sense of normalcy. This will take time, effort and funds.
Thank you for your generous support!

The image of The Madonna on the cd label was taken in the area of Breezy Point that was burned to the ground during Hurricane Sandy. Eveything surrounding the statue was charred black - except for the statue. Miracles do happen. We pray for continuing miracles for the families of Breezy Point, NY.
